I started this "Scrappy Trips Around The World" about 18 months ago. The pattern is from Bonnie at Quiltville (thanks Bonnie, I love your site!) and I finished the binding on Monday night to donate to my children's school for a silent auction. The pattern was fun & easy to do, but when I started it I was quite new to quilting and self-taught, so I had problems lining things up and had a shortage of scraps. I made a few blocks but put them away and didn't get them out again until last fall. I finished the quilt top and practiced machine quilting with a meander stitch. Since I hate binding things and always procrastinate this step, I put it aside again for 4-5 months! In the end, I hated to part with it. I'll have to make this one again now that I have a scrap collection and fabric stash!

Oh, very nice! It's kind of you to donate the quilt to a good cause. Thanks for sharing. Happy Quilting!
I love this quilt. I learn so many things from each project I work on. I find that I repeat a pattern several times. I think it is because I have gotten over the bumps and like to turn things out quickly after that first "trial".
This is a great quilt!
I'll look for the pattern on Bonnie's site...I'd like to try it.
I hope it brings in a lot of money for the school.
Pretty! I like how it's scrappy but it still shows the pattern. Very nice, I hope the auction goes good!
It looks terrific! I have some blocks that I started from Bonnie's pattern, too. Seeing how greatyour quilt turned out, I'll have to find them.
Thanks for the reminder.
Great job........did you quilt this on your quilting macchine?
This is such a great pattern. I love the lime green fabrics in it - really gives it some zing! I've done a few blocks myself and will finish it 'some day' LOL.
What a fun quilt!
